Hinton Construction Leadership Team

Gary is the founder of Hinton Construction Company, Inc. He holds a degree in Building Construction from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and has over 35 years of experience in the construction industry. Gary has heavy experience in all forms of housing construction, including apartments, student housing, military housing, assisted-living facilities, tax-credit projects, HUD housing, and renovation projects. He also has experience in all types of commercial construction. Gary is a past president and board member of the Northwest Louisiana chapter of Associated General Contractors. Gary is proud of the fact that he is personally available to clients and stays involved in all aspects of the daily operations and in the management of every project.

Gary is a mechanical engineer with a bachelor of science degree from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA. After graduating cum laude, Gary worked as a project manager and designer at an engineering design company for five years. After serving as a project manager at Hinton Construction for four years, he now serves as Chief Executive Officer and oversees all estimating, contracts, and job schedules. His experience includes all types of commercial and multi-family construction, including hotel and motel projects, HUD 221(D)(4) projects, apartment construction and renovation, assisted living, and single-family housing.

Cory holds a degree in construction engineering from Louisiana Tech University and is the Chief Operations Officer. Cory handles many executive duties involved in the daily management of Hinton Construction Company, Inc and oversees the entire project management team. He has heavy experience in multi-family housing construction, student housing construction, and renovation projects, but also has experience in all types of commercial construction. As a company executive, Cory takes great pride in making sure that he is involved with each project.

Dakota holds an MBA from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and is the Chief Financial Officer. Dakota oversees all aspects of financials, marketing, sales, and public relations on behalf of Hinton Construction Company, Inc. Through his passion and understanding of integrated design, construction, and operations of residential and mixed-use structures, Dakota fosters collaborative client relationships that are the core of every Hinton project. He is also responsible for identifying emerging trends in the industry and overseeing the company’s marketing initiatives. Dakota has a commitment to leveraging technology and innovative solutions.
